And I heard the music loud and clear like it was present to me. It was the real deal. The original songs came out of an awareness of what was happening in the country at the time. So I'd be over there sitting on a stool with Carole King while she wrote me a song like 'This Little Girl' or going in and out of the offices. It's an authentic and wonderful trip back in time. I was on tour with them for two weeks. But when he came to Columbia, musically I just loved what he was doing.
