I must say the same about the controls, they grew on me. The combo system is easy to learn and fun to use. It is awesome how the map is more 3D and destructible than all the other previous games. Another somewhat overlooked thing is that Budokai Tenkaichi 3 has a tremendous combo list, and combo lists are unique to many characters.
There is the right amount of defensive moves to balance out the attacks so it's possible to not get caught in a combo if you are good enough. Very few games are like that, such as Pokemon games. We do not support or condone piracy. While it does have a ridiculous selection of characters, I feel it has too many. Also how about some team battles like two on two, maybe that can get worked in somehow or two on one battles. The game is not hard to the point it makes you feel it's impossible to master, but some movements specially that infinite combo with kid buu do require practice and patience.

Newer games have tried to emulate it by allowing for you to create your own character but none even come close to Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Features included in the game were a story mode, a versus mode, a tournament stage, a practice mode, and an items shop which allowed the player to purchase various customization abilities using money that was gained through the various challenges in the story mode and tournament victories to customize and make the most powerful warriors. It is a wonderful game to play if you're a Dragon Ball Z fan and have a few friends to play with you, though. But one game, Budokai Tenkaichi 3, managed to garner so much of a fanbase that it actually ended up increasing in price over the years due to rarity. The fighting mechanics are pretty fluid, but just like the other Tenkaichi games, the camera can be a bit unwieldy at times. Only bad things in game is that there is no more transformations during a fight and some moves is totally powerless. Many of them were fairly good, even the Budokai series, which was a Tekken clone with very good visuals. That's why i can't give 10 to this game, but overally this is the best dbz budokai that is made. Bigger characters like Broly move slower and have smaller comboes that hit for more damage, while smaller characters like Kid Buu hit faster for longer comboes with smaller damage while having an easier time stunning the opponent. . .
